What is a submersible pump?

Submersible pumps are multistage centrifugal pumps operating in a vertical position. The pump is placed into the fluid it intends to pump out where it will operate. This is the main advantage of the pump as it never has to be primed since it is already submerged into the water. Submersible pumps are also very efficient as they don't need to spend much energy moving water into the pump.
